Studio Oriel is a two-floor hair salon in the North Laine with a reputation for colour work that people travel for. The team had plenty of before-and-after photos and no plan for using them. We took over Instagram and TikTok, turned the stylists into the stars of the feed, and built a booking funnel so that every viral transformation ended with a link to the diary rather than a comment asking “how much?”

The salon’s owner wanted to fill the quieter midweek slots and raise the profile of the junior stylists, who were just as talented as the seniors but had no following of their own. The brief was to grow the audience without making the salon look like a content factory, and to make it easy for someone watching a transformation at midnight to book the chair.
Holly ran a weekly shoot morning where each stylist got twenty minutes with the camera and a client who’d agreed in advance. We built templates for before-and-afters, process clips and talking-head tips, so the team could capture content between appointments without a second thought. Every post pointed to a booking link with the stylist pre-selected, and we tracked which videos actually filled the diary.
One balayage transformation hit 3.4 million views on TikTok and the ripple effect lasted months. Bookings made through Instagram almost doubled in a year, the midweek gaps closed and the colour waitlist stretched to six weeks. Two junior stylists now have followings in the tens of thousands and the salon has recruited twice on the strength of the feed alone.
I used to post a photo, get thirty likes and wonder why I bothered. Now the content brings in clients who ask for a stylist by name because they’ve watched her work. Lido just get how a salon runs.
